Trey: "Hey, Dad! Why did you shave all your hair off?"
Me: "Because I wanted to. I like it this way."
Trey: "Well, I think I heard you say one time that the little bit of hair around your head looked weird."
Me: "Yeah, I think I said that."
Trey: "Well, it's probably cooler in the summer, too."
Me: "Yeah, it's definitely cooler. It feels good."
Trey: "Man! I hope I'm bald when I get older!"
Fortunately for him, genetic history is on his side...

I thought baldness was passed down through the female line (to their male children).
Does that hold up in your family?
...oh, and by the way, if he gets his wish, hopefully he doesn't get sunburns as easily as I do!
Two things,
1. Mr. Mount beat me to the punch on the female line thing... I do believe it is true that baldness in inherited through your mother's side.
2. As Tony Campolo says, "We all have so many hormones, if you want to use yours for growing hair, that's your business."
Give him a few years and he will be wishing he never said that one. Ha!! Kids just say the darnest things, dont they. Cute!!
Not only that but on the way home from church last night he informed me that he wished he was bald now and maybe when I cut his hair that I should just cut it all off!!! (Wait till he hits his teen years ~ he'll change his story)
Not too sure the female thing holds up in the Waggoner family. My family isn't bald but the Waggoners.......not too many of them keep it!
Today, while Trey and Kassidy were hanging out at our house, I overheard this conversation that Trey and his echo had with Nikki....
Trey: Nikki, did you know that my dad is COMPLETELY bald?
Nikki: Completely!!??
Trey: Yes, he has no hair on his head! And, he likes it that way!
Kass: Yeah, and he likes it that way!
Nikki: I bet he looks kinda funny!
Trey: No, he just looks like a dad!!
Nikki: Well, my dad has lots of hair!
Trey: Yeah, he does!
Kass: Yeah, he does!
Trey must really have this bald thing on his brain 24/7!!
I don't belive the baldness/female line thing either! My dad has a full head of hair as does his dad. On his mom's side they are all bald. Same thing in Jeff's family---Waggoners--bald----his Mom's side--hair????? Kind of strange. My kids wil probably be half bald!ha
