I would like to welcome The Burley Bunch (Mark, Jana, and kids) to my blogroll. Check it out at: http://burleybunch.blogspot.com/.
Mark and I used to travel in quartet together back in the day. He has the distinction of being the tallest guy I ever traveled with (6'7" or 6'8"; let me know on that one, Mark). I was the shortest member of the group at 6'0". I don't know how good we were, but we sure had a great basketball team.

Hey Keith, I remember that team! Remember when you guys played Penn View (Aaron McCarty, et al). And I'll never forget and may not have yet forgiven Big Mark for picking me up and carrying me across the camp ground of some unnamed camp!
Thanks for pointing me in their direction, Keith, so that I could add them to my blogroll too!
Hey keith....what a memory--quartet tour of '96. A great time was had by all (most of the time)-ha! I was and still am 6'7. We definitely were not lacking for size. Do you remember when we went to Indiana for a weekend and when we arrived at the church there was sign on the platform that informed us that there was an 800lb. weight limit?
I remember Keith and I playing a couple of guys in a mall in Alabama. Then Mark and I teamed up and beat several teams from the hometown. What a great time.
Aaron McCarty
Yeah, Mark. I remember that sign. I would give anything for a picture of us on that stage.
Aaron, I remember you and Mark schooling all of those guys at the mall in Tuscaloosa (a Foot Locker, if I remember correctly). There was a line out the door to play you guys. Paul and I weren't good enough to hang with you, so we stayed on the sidelines.
Hey, where was I in all of this "hoop schoolin"? Oh -that's right! I was with the "other" Penn View group. We were too worried about having every part perfect to have fun. I know I would have been an effective part of the school session - "un-orthodox" and all.
